When in doubt, be cowardly.

I am all about fiscal balance and restraint, but the latest move from the Stelmach government to cut welfare and other social assistance is abhorent. Who thinks this is a good idea? Instead of having the guts to tell Albertans that higher taxes might just a be a reality until things settle out, just attack those who have the least political power and the least resources to defend themselves. The poor have always been the neocons boogeyman of course so we shouldn't be shocked, but what is most dissapointing, is that Stelmach is supposed to be a moderate. What Stelmach doesn't understand is that Albertans don't want another neoconservative government, they just want a government that seems like it knows what its doing. The Stelmach's knee-jerk reaction to every issue makes them looks like clowns, but worse, it hurts the public interest and punishes the residents of this province.
